300 YTT
When you completed your 200 YTT -- for many students, it felt like you just graduated kindergarten! Since then, you have taken and perhaps taught hundreds of yoga classes, read thousands of yoga related articles and books and may have even attended a plethora of yoga workshops, intensives, festivals & retreats. Yes, it is true that once the passion to share yoga awakens in your heart, it is almost impossible to stop the desire to become a master teacher. In Malcolm Gladwell’s book “The Outliers”, he writes about our world’s masters. He answers the question of how many hours of work do you need to become a master at anything. 10,000 hours is approximately the number of hours required to achieve the level of mastery associated with being a world class expert in anything.
In this 300-hour program, you will be moving closer to the level of mastery in understanding and applying the teachings of yoga. This is a Master’s Degree in the art and science of yoga and meditation. We will break down our methodology in detail and rebuild the 7 stages of Vinyasa Yoga. We will use the Bhagavad Gita to develop a greater understanding of Karma, Jnana and Bhakti Yoga. We will work with sequencing and adjustments using broad principals of anatomy to design and create powerful vinyasa yoga flows and experiences. We will use ancient yoga postures as tools to uncover our body’s strengths and weaknesses-developing a keen awareness of the edges within our psychosomatic structure. Most importantly, we will collaborate and give feedback with the best and the brightest, creating a yoga community that elevates us to reach our highest potential as enlightened beings!
